Essay on My Father – My Role Model and My Friend (Essay 1 – 500 Words)
Introduction
My father is my hero and guide in my life. He's the one I look at whenever I find myself in trouble. My father has been my guiding force in all of my major life decisions. In fact, I never regretted taking his advice, as it has always worked for me. He is a hardworking and passionate person. My dad likes movies. Whenever he finds time, he loves to watch an old movie. In fact, we sometimes fight over who controls the television. But, deep down, we like to tease each other and play too.
My father doesn't like to be idle. Sometimes on holidays, if he and my sister do nothing and are idle, he gives us one task or another. He is also very organized and keeps all his documents organized.
My Father - My Model:
My father is my role model for many reasons. First of all, I admire your passion for work. That is why he is also so respected in his office. He is always there to help his colleagues, even if it is not his job. In fact, we can always see him spending weekends helping others. Furthermore, my father is a simple man. He does not like expensive things and lives an easy and peaceful life. Besides, he never yells at anyone. I wonder if he gets mad about something because he takes everything so calmly and takes time to decide things.
My father - my friend:
My father is also my friend. I can discuss everything with my father, even those who do not dare to speak in front of my mother. I know he must keep it a secret and give the advice I need. He is the one I can trust blindly during any hour of need, and I know he will be there for me.
My father's importance in my life:
My father plays an important role in the family. He is in fact considered the head of the family. However, I feel that the father and mother have a different role to play in raising their children. While my mother has a soft heart, it is my father who shows courage and strength that his children will later absorb as his qualities. He can be tough at times, but make sure it’s always for the benefit of children.
Conclusion:
There is no doubt that my father's role is vital in my life. Your presence is vital to maintaining balance and peace in my family. A father is one who receives the most rigorous father's badge and whose denial of permission for anything means a lot to the children. I also admire my father and try to absorb his qualities to become like him when I grow up.

Introduction:
My father is a person who takes care of my family and loves each of us. My father acts as a pillar of support and strength for my family.
My dad:
My father is the person I most admire in my life. I can never forget all the childhood memories I have with him. It is safe to say that my father is largely the reason for my current joy and happiness. I can say that I am the person I am today and the person I am growing up to be, all because of the influence he has had and is exercising on me. He always has time to play with me and follow all the events of my life, even after the hard work of the day.
My father is a man who is very unique and different. I always feel lucky whenever I remember that he is my father, knowing how he did the best for me in life. I am always grateful to have the opportunity to be his son and be part of a wonderful family that has a great father like him. My father proved to be a very peaceful and polite person. He rarely scolds me and is always easy with me. What he tries to do is make sure that I realize the mistake I made in a very polite way and help me get better and that has worked like magic for many years.
My father is the leader and head of our family. He is always there for all family members to help us when we need his advice and guidance to make decisions. Whenever we have a problem, we take it to him, he tries to help us by sharing some of the problems he has also faced in the past that are very similar to our problem and how he was able to overcome them. He also shares all of his achievements and disadvantages in life and tells us to learn from them.
My dad has his personal online marketing business, but he never insists that his kids pursue a career in the same field so that we can take over. He doesn't even try to attract any of us to his business, but he does try to teach us how we can discover our own passion and fields of interest in life. He does his best to encourage us in the pursuit of our various dreams. I can say boldly that my father is a very good father and this is not the result of him always helping me and being kind to me, but because he shows great strength, knowledge, good help, and pleasant nature. He also has very good human relations skills.
My father's parents were very poor when he grew up, but with a lot of work and patience, my father was able to become very rich. He uses this as an example to encourage me to always work hard.
Conclusion:
I share all my happy, sad and bad moments with him and he does the same. He is always around to share with me all his life experiences and how I can learn from them. My dad also tells me everything about his day and all the events that happened during the day. He is doing everything possible to ensure that I grow up and become a very successful person, with good character and behavior.
My father always teaches me ethics, humanity and life tags that can help me in the future. My father is always ready and willing to help the needy people around us and he tells us that giving is the most important thing in life. My father also teaches my brothers and me how to be happy, healthy and fit throughout life.
My father proved to be very good for all the members of my family. If any of us is experiencing a specific problem, my father is usually the first person we turn to for advice and help. Over the years, my father has proved to be a person who has a very kind heart and I can boldly say that he is my best friend and my hero.
Essay on My Father – Long Essay for School Students (Essay no 3 – 800 Words)
essay on my father |
Appa was born in Coimbatore, the second child, and the third child of a family of 11 children. Your father, my grandfather, was a stern man, a respected civil engineer who worked for the British colonial government.
Appa attended the Rishi Valley School in Yercaud, founded on the learning philosophy of Jiddu Krishnamurthy. There, he learned the value of discipline, respect for hard work, honesty, responsibility, and constant learning. He studied electrical engineering at Banaras Hindu University and joined the air conditioning division at Voltas Limited. He worked there for the rest of his life and was considered brilliant and a genius.
My childhood memories of him are like a stern, rigid, little communicative man. He made his father's funniest jokes and we all make faces and laugh obediently.
He felt a deep and abiding sense of responsibility towards his own birth family and his conjugal family. The modest salary he always earned would be split between these two families and, as he was awful at asking for favors or promoting himself, he never climbed the ranks of Voltas and his income remained quite pathetic until his death. This officially transformed us into a lower-middle-class family and our childhood was frugal, economical and austere. A little money meant a lot.
Despite these restrictions, Appa has successfully planned our futures. When his pension funds were released after his retirement, he used the full amount, increased by a bank loan, to buy a house on behalf of his two children. For the rest of our lives, we had a roof over our heads.
Why I like my father:
One of the most notable things about Appa was the number of things he was interested in. In Calcutta, he spent hours outside a tailor's shop watching him make clothes. After several months, he bought a Singer sewing machine. From then on, all of our clothes, including winter school uniforms, were sewn by him.
He learned carpentry himself - and built the sofas we used for decades.
He learned to dry clean - and from then on we went to school smelling of kerosene in the winter.
He was an excellent cook and loved to cook. When my mother was immobilized with lymphatic tuberculosis, he would make breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the family in the morning before leaving for work.
Best of all, he was a brilliant musician, talented at playing the Wichita veena. He had his own Carnatic 'band' with a flutist and a mridangam player.
Things I learned from my father:
I slowly realized how much of who I am was shaped by who he was. Like him, I never get bored and remain fascinated by everything in life. I am constantly actively doing something constructive or educational. Today I am two years younger than when he died, but I started to learn to play the piano, understand UX search engine optimization, design, and painting.
I learned from him that generosity is a state of mind, not a wallet state. The number of nameless and faceless poor people he had helped was long, as we discovered only after he died. Never humiliating his beneficiaries with a handout, he invited them to pay in time and speed, but he assured that he did, thus restoring self-respect.
Without ever talking about it, he showed me what it means to be a father and what it means to live unselfishly.
Conclusion:
A single incident sums up my relationship with my father. He wanted me to join IIT and become an engineer. I wanted to be a writer, a profession he despised because he had no future. In 1969, Headstrong got off the train on which my family was moving from Delhi to Bombay the moment the whistle blew. I was determined to live my life my way.
My father, deeply upset, interrupted me without a paisa, saying that I could support myself very well if I was so confident in writing. And I earned enough by writing the evening papers to pay rent, college fees, and food. Six months later, my father, passing through Delhi in December, visited me to check on the strong-headed son and saw for himself that I was surviving well enough without asking or borrowing. He visibly swelled with pride.
He hugged me, in an action forgiving me, but also forgiving himself. He used the 400 rupees he had received as a Christmas bonus to buy me utensils, mattresses, and other basic items.
From that day on, he proudly said, "My son followed my heart, not my head - and saw the excellent job he did."
